Lafarge was a French industrial company specialising in three major products: cement, construction aggregates, and was founded in 1833 by JosephAuguste Pavin de Lafarge. On 10 July 2015, Lafarge merged with Holcim, a Swiss cement that July, the new company was officially launched around the globe under the name of LafargeHolcim.

Lafarge cement plant in Rawang catches fire, damage being ...
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): Lafarge Malaysia Bhd said a fire broke out at its integrated cement plant in Rawang, Selangor today. A fuel tank at the plant caught fire between and, it said in a statement. The Fire and Rescue Department was on site within 10 minutes and the fire was snuffed out shortly after, the statement added.
